Chapter 8

Maddie

I spent the entire afternoon on the couch watching the sunset. Andrew spent the entire morning, afternoon and now evening with his whore. Rosalia and I didn’t speak at all. She cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner and I ate nothing. I had a burning hole in my stomach. The hole of despair and worry. All I could think about was Alyssa and Daniel, the pain in my heart made me feel like I couldn’t catch my breath. I sat staring out of the window waiting for Stone to come crashing through the front door, but he didn’t. Maybe he was tired of rescuing me? Maybe he thought I wasn’t good enough for the kids…or him?

“Beautiful sunset,” Andrew said, but I didn’t respond, “The silent treatment?”

“Leave me alone, Andrew…please.” I whispered.

“Suit yourself,” he said as he walked towards the door, “Beautiful night for a swim. Would you like to join me?”

“No.” I got up and walked towards the bedroom.

“How long are you going to act like this Madison?”

I turned to face him, “Until you let me go home Andrew. I don’t care if you beat me. I don’t care if you kill me. You’ll never have me. I’ll never be yours.”

“You will.” He demanded.

“No, I won’t.”

“We’re having a party tonight. I want you in the outfit that is on the bed waiting for you. You’ll be serving my guests and me…”

“Let your whore do it.” I sneered.

He slammed the door behind him and walked towards me.

“I’m impressed. I really thought by now you would be compliant, but I see the beatings I have given you meant nothing,” he placed his finger on his chin as if he were anticipating his next move. Then, he slapped me so hard across my face I went flying into the wall of the bedroom, “Get your shit together Madison. Your mother was a no-good whore and a junkie. Am I treating you that way? Am I forcing myself on you? Am I giving you drugs to take?”

“No…” I whimpered, holding the side of my face.

“Then do as you’re told, Madison and stop fucking around.” He said angrily.

“I want to go home Andrew. I need my family. Don’t you understand that? They’re all I have…please.” I pleaded as the blood trickled down my bottom lip.

“I need you, Madison.”

“No…you don’t. Jordania is everything you need.”

“She’s everything I need sexually. But your innocence keeps me intact. Makes me feel human when I know that I’m not.”

I glanced up at him. His eyes were soft, honest and that look alone made me nervous.

“Please Andrew, I need to get home to my kids. They need me. They love me.”

“I can’t do it Madison. I love you. I need you,” he turned and walked away from me, “Now go shower and get dressed.” He demanded.

He walked out of the bedroom. Before I walked to the bathroom to take a shower, I heard a faint knock on the door. It was Jordania.

“Can you smell his scent on me?” she asked.

“I don’t give a shit about him or you.
